Stop Watching All of those French-inspired Films: Go Wash Your Dishes

Following up on my Saturday-morning post about Valentine's Day, I kept hitting the remote and discovered the TCM channel was running a marathon of old French-inspired movies. I kept thinking, "Okay, watch this and then go find something to do... " The line-up was Casablanca, Midnight in Paris, GiGi, and Charade. I love all four of these movies for different reasons. I think the moments when Rick gives the band a nod to change the music and the French stand up to sing are the greatest scenes in cinematic history. It's a fun journey as screenwriter Gil Pender meets Hemingway, Cole Porter, Gertrude Stein, and Scott and Zelda in 21st-century Paris in Midnight in Paris. Eat Pray Love

Let's keep it simple -

Eat what makes you healthy. Eat what makes you happy. Eat with those you love or share an interest with.

Pray with intentions. Create a sacred space. Pause. Light a candle. Clear the air of negative energy as the Native Americans did by burning bundles of sage.  Meditate. Write your intention or resolution on a piece of paper or write one word on a bay leaf. Light the paper or sage leaf and let it go. Light a stick of incense and give it as an offering. Utter a prayer inside over a candle with calming or spiritual music in the background. Utter a prayer outside singing it unto the winds or to the moon.

The word "love" explains it all.
