About Me

Passementerie (/pæsˈmɛntri/, French pronunciation: [pɑsmɑ̃tri]) or Passementarie is the art of making elaborate trimmings or edgings of applied braid, gold or silver cord, embroidery, colored silk, rosettes, or beads for clothing or furnishings.

The simple trimmings for an elegant life.

Do I live an "elegant" life? Of course not, but elegance is a state of mind. So who am I?

There have been many titles on my self-adorned crown. Currently, I am writer, author, blogger, and a collector of treasures.

A few years ago I retired my former blog, Wild Walla Walla Wine Woman. In 2005 it was one of the first wine blogs in the state, and I was one of the first woman wine bloggers in the Northwest. After missing the blogging platform and the ability to write in my own style without an editor overseeing my words, here I am.

What I am offering is affordable ideas with small stay-at-home journeys that can enhance your life - or what I like to refer to as, "trimmings."  You will notice throughout my blog I like to cook, fluff pillows, trim the rose bushes, and sip on a glass of wine or two.

It's about the simple "trimmings" for an elegant life - Passementaries.
