Life Moves Pretty Fast

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”  ―  Ferris Bueller It's so true. Last week I was checking out my many rose bushes and wondering when they would bloom. They seem late this year.  A few days later I was outside chasing one of my little dogs. She is losing her hearing and sight, but I swear her little legs are running faster than ever. It's never been like her to run off. While I was running after her (or more like hobbling and limping) I noticed a couple of bushes with a few roses.  After I got the pup settled and inside, I went back out to cut a few roses. The bees even took pity on me and allowed me to cut some of their sage blossoms. I placed the pretty little vase from my Mother's collection by a few Paris mementos.

New Year Resolution: Wear All Your Good Clothes

Right. I know I am "tardy" with my posting, and I really do not know where my time went, but I do know I have missed my blogging. So, it feels good to get back into it.

Throughout Instagram and emails, this meme keeps popping up. It reminded me of something I have been saying for years when I hear people talk about saving their "nice china" for something special.

No. Don't do it. Don't save it for something "special." The older we get, the more special every day is.  That good china you don't want to use today in fear that you might break it, if you don't break it, someone else will break it long after you're gone.

I will need to take my own advice and use that beautiful rouge "Paris" shade of lipstick by Chanel. I am guilty of saving it for "something special." I will give my neighbors something to talk about when I put on my lipstick to fetch the mail or take out the garbage.

Stop saving stuff for later. "Later" is now.

Happy New Year.
